After two and a half years in progress

After two and a half years in progress, Atom-r will premiere Kjell Theøry on Inauguration Day, Friday January 20, 2017.
Before then, join us Thursday, January 12th for the 2017 ATOM-r Benefit, planned by the effervescent Joshua Herrington. We’re gearing up for the premiere and 2017 touring of the work with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, performances, dancing, DJ Audio Jack and more, all among the stunning setting of the International Museum of Surgical Science, a former lakefront property Gold Coast mansion. Patrons will also receive a copy of The Operature, a limited edition 60-page augmented reality performance publication, created in collaboration with PINUPS zine, as well as an advanced ticket to the Kjell Theøry performance.
Performances for Kjell Theøry run 7pm Fri & Sat, Jan 20-Feb 4 in the ballroom of the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, featuring performers Judd Morrissey, Justin Deschamps, Leonardo Kaplan and myself with direction by Mark Jeffery. We’re thrilled to to be working with our collaborators Grace DuVal for costuming, Joshua Patterson for sound design and Josh Hoglund for lighting.…/5552-kjell-thery-a-prologue
In conjuction with the live shows, a free exhibit opening January 20th and running for a month will round out our year in residence at the International Museum of Surgical Science, with contributions from invited artists Claire Ashley, Elena Ailes, Grace Duval, and Oli Watt. Our research sources are rich, varied and complex, so I really encourage you attend both the exhibit and live show in order to truly dig into the dramaturgy of Kjell Theøry.
Finally, our tour will kick off in March with our feature in The Performance Arcade 2017, a live arts festival in and among shipping containers in Welling, New Zealand. Further dates are being tentatively planned for York, Brighton, London, Glasgow, Prague, Berlin and Helsinki, to name a few.
Here we come, world!
