Sports drink or water? Which do I use?
While sports drinks do help replenish electrolytes it’s always best to have balanced meals throughout the day and mostly water.
Sports drinks can be useful but really only for those who are training for competition or those who are dehydrated. The exerciser who is trying to stay active and eating well can stick with water and well planned out meals without getting the unnecessary sugar rush or extra money spent.
Stick with water. Recommended amount:
1/2 your body weight in oz’s.
For a 200lb man, it’s recommended approximately around 100oz of water.
